What is the Data Area for? | The Data Area specifies which slice of data is filtered. In this example, we filtered the data displayed in the report. But you might want to display data for one year, only where the data in a previous year met a criterion. For example, you might display only the budgeted sales figures for 2016 where the actual sales in 2015 were greater than N. By changing the entries in the Selection column of the Data Area, you can specify the slice of data to which the filter applies. |
Why do I still see some zero values when I select different elements from the data slicer combo boxes? | There are two reasons. First, when you
select different elements you see a different slice of data. Our zero
suppression filter affected only the slice of data defined by the Gross Margin,
All Channels, All POS, All Regions, and Variance elements. Slices that are
defined by different combinations of element are not affected. Second, zero suppression suppresses only columns or rows in which every element has a zero value. |
