Automatic services mode

If the Service Controller is configured to run automatically, the registered services also run automatically. No service runs if the Service Controller is not running.

Ensure that every Service Controller on each machine of a farm uses the same startup type and runs under the same account.

When the Service Controller runs, it auto-starts services that are registered to the farm. You can stop individual services manually but, after a restart, they restart automatically. To stop a service permanently, you must unregister it from the farm.
