Global Security

Security is crucial to keep your farm safe. Different authentication methods enable users to confirm their identities and safely connect to the database or to any data connections.

For detailed information about farm security options, see the "Installation" section.

On the Global Security tab in Service Expert, you can save your master keys and profile to a file, configure security types, and manage security certificates. You can configure these security types:

Service-to-service security
API security
Web access security
Client access security

For Service-to-service security, only the basic authentication type is available.

These authentication types are available for API security:

Basic
OAuth

These authentication types are available for Web access security:

Basic
IFS
LDAP

These authentication types are available for Client access security:

Basic
IFS
LDAP

Windows authentication works with IFS through ADFS. IFS is part of Infor OS.

Application Studio and Application Engine use basic authentication type.

Several local farms can use the same tenant for authentication.
