Data tables

The data is stored in tables. There can be any number of each of these tables and the tables can have any names.

These names are defined by the user because they are identified by name in the jobs. The names must be stored in the appropriate places in the metadata tables so the system knows where and how to reference the tables.

These are the table types:

Member tables (or element tables)
Relationship tables (or hierarchy tables)
Subset tables
Fact tables
Combined star-schema tables
