Migrating reports

If you used Infor BI 11.0 to create custom Application Studio reports in your application, you can migrate them to the newly installed Infor EPM business application. Use Application Studio version 11.0 to export the custom reports that you created to a *.reports file.

Use Application Studio version 12.0.x to import the *.reports file to the Infor EPM business applications.

Note: Standard content that is delivered by Infor is protected and cannot be changed or overwritten. If you changed standard reports in version 11.0, you cannot use them to overwrite standard reports in version 12.0.x.

Changed reports can only be imported under different names.

You can use multiple data connections to the same OLAP database. Each data connection can have a different unique name format. For example, you can use short unique names to base reports in one application and long unique names for migrated custom reports in another application.

  1. Create a new data connection.
  2. Go to Advanced tab.
  3. Set the required unique name format for the connection.
