Migrating Budgeting & Planning Designer database
Before migrating the Designer database,
these tasks must be completed:
Task | Description | |
---|---|---|
❑ | All required users have been created in the Users and Users Groups dashboard. | When starting the upgrade of the Designer database content, the User dimension will be synchronized with the user management of Infor EPM. If users are not created prior to the update, the Users dimension is emptied during the update. This results in losing data such as workflow configuration. |
❑ | All the required OLAP data roles have been created in the Data Roles dashboard. | When starting the upgrade of the Designer database content, the Roles dimension will be synchronized with the roles of the application. If the roles are not specified prior to the update, data permissions are lost. |
❑ | The version 11.0 OLAP database has been imported into the DEPM database. | See Migrating OLAP databases. |
❑ | A copy of the version 11.0 Designer database has been prepared | Do not update your production version 11.0 Designer database. Execute the migration on a copy of the database. Use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to create a copy of the version 11 Designer database. |
- Create a backup of the version 11.0 Designer database.
-
Restore the database backup under a different name. You can
restore to the newly installed 12.0.x Designer database or to a new database. By default, the
Designer database is named
dEPMDesign
.
