Overview of the migration process

You can migrate Infor BI 11.0 content to Infor EPM 12.0.x for on premises deployments.

We recommend migrating from the latest Infor BI patch and Infor EPM 11.2 patch. The patch includes a tool to check the compatibility of your version 11 content with version 12 content. In Application Studio, select Extras > Check Version 12 Compatibility. The results of the check can be exported to Excel for sorting and analysis.

The migration works differently than in past migrations. You do not run an update process over the existing Infor BI 11.0 repositories. Instead, the migration procedure works by creating or installing on a separate development server an application in version 12. Parallel installations of version 11 and version 12 are unsupported. Then you copy the Infor BI 11.0 content into the new applications.
