Installing a farm upgrade or patch on one machine

Run the Setup_dEPM_Services.exe file to
update all services to the same version. Double-click
Setup_dEPM_Services.exe and click Next.
Follow the instructions in the installation wizard to update all previously installed services. The update procedure depends on how you have installed the services. When the update procedure finishes successfully, the Service Expert is started automatically.After the services installation is completed, the Service Expert starts automatically. If this does not happen, you must start the Service Expert manually.
- Sign in.

If prompted, run the schema updates for the BIFarmLog and
BIFarmConfig databases.
If the schema is not up to date, the Update Schema indicator of a farm database shows that an update is required.

If required, you must register additional services if the
update brings in new ones.
Wait until all services are started. All services must have a green indicator.
If the services do not start, verify that the Service Controller runs in Microsoft Services console or in the Service Controller tab.
If the Service Controller is running, start the services manually.
- Continue the installation in the Farm Expert. Close the Service Expert, optionally selecting the option to launch the Farm Expert.
- Click Yes to upgrade the plug-ins and clients and restart Dashboards Service worker.
- Each step of the Farm Expert is on a separate tab. The steps can be completed only in the order in which they are listed. Click Next after completing each step.

Specify the Administrator user name and password.
For the upgrade you must use the Admin user with basic authentication and the default password.
If prompted, upgrade the BIFarmRepository database.

Upgrade the standard applications such as Samples and Self-Service if upgrades are
available.
Always update the EPM Administration application.

Always update the Infor EPM business applications if installed.

If prompted, update the schema of the BIFarmModel and BIFarmConsolidation databases. The update of the OLAP DEPMAPPS database is not triggered by the Farm Expert. To update the database, log on to Infor EPM business applications in the web, select Business Modeling, and publish the OLAP database.

The upgrade of the dEPMDesigner database, which belongs to Infor EPM business applications, is not triggered by the Farm Expert. To update the database, start Designer and connect to the Designer database.
To apply the update to the OLAP database, recreate the OLAP DEPM database.
