Configuring ION API

  1. In Infor OS, start the ION API application.
  2. Select Available APIs.
  3. Click Add New API Suite and select the suite template Infor EPM.
  4. Specify the hostname of the server where Infor EPM runs. Leave the port number and other settings blank or keep the default values.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Create these new endpoints:
    • Repository
    • AppEngine
    • AppStudio
    • Modeling
    • Mobile
  7. Specify this information:
    Host name
    Hostname of the server.
    Https
    If API security in the farm is set to use SSL. You must use https on the server where the manager of the specified service is running.
    Port

    Specify the API port of the corresponding service manager.

    Leave the rest of the fields blank. To find the correct port number, select the Global Security tab in Service Expert and select the specific manager to see which ports are specified.

    Authentication Type
    The details that are displayed depend on your previous selection:

    • Anonymous

      Displayed if the API security was set to No security. No additional fields are displayed.

    • OAuth 1.0a

      Displayed if the API security was set to OAuth, you must specify this information:

      • Algorithm: HMAC-SHA256.
      • Target endpoint access key: Public key for the API security of the specified service.
      • Target endpoint secret key: Secret key for the API security of the specified service.
  8. Click Save.
  9. In the main list of the endpoints, click Associate Endpoints.
    For each new endpoint, select the corresponding BIXXXXService endpoint. For example, select BIRepositoryService for the Repository. Every new endpoint must be associated with a single endpoint.
