Hard disk space and type

Infor EPM usually requires 50 to 100 GB space on the hard disk for installation, Microsoft SQL Server, and for the OLAP database central storage system. For the installation, and for some other tasks, the hard disk performance is not relevant. For the production operation, the performance of the hard disk storing the databases can have an impact.

Hard disk performance is relevant in these scenarios:

  • Permanent logging during production operations.
  • Auditing.
  • Relational database storage.

Consider the use of high bandwidth SSD drives in these scenarios.
