Data connections for cubes

You configure the transfer of business data from the reference database to theOLAP database using data connections for cubes.

A data connection for cubes is part of a cube. To fill a cube with the data of the source databases, the cubes in Designer must contain dimensions that have mappings, which refer to tables of the source database.

If a cube contains dimensions with mappings of source tables, you must create a data connection for cubes. Select a business group as the data source to specify, which data are transferred to the OLAP cube.
