Customizing the application with sub plans

Infor EPM business applications include standard sub plans such as Sales and Workforce Budgeting.

You can customize Infor EPM by creating a sub plan. You create a sub plan by:

  • Enhancing the data model such as adding cubes, dimensions, elements, and rules. Prefix cubes and dimensions with custom_.
  • Adding Application Engine processes. This is done in the Application Engine Process Editor.
  • Adding Application Studio reports. The reports can be included in the navigation and in workbooks.

You can add elements to the standard dimensions, However, do not change the standard elements in the dimensions or the cubes.

Designer can be used as the modeling tool for Infor Budgeting & Planning and for custom applications. It cannot be used with other Infor business applications. Designer is not available in multi-tenant cloud environments. Designer databases must be created manually, by using a script. The script is available on Infor Customer Portal.
