Asset categories

Asset categories are used to group assets.

For example, you can define a category for furniture and fixtures. You define asset categories in Designer by adding a new child element to TOTAL_ASSETCATEGORY. TOTAL_ASSETCATEGORY is located under Planning Model > Chart of Accounts > Schedule Details > Asset Category.

You must specify a name for the asset category and select Positive for the weighting value. Weighting is used when rolling up data.
