Adding custom reports and dashboards to the navigation

  1. Start Designer.
  2. Go to the BPDNATIGATION dimension.
  3. Under Attribute table 1, find the parent element for the new report.
  4. Create a child element with these parameters:
    Option Description
    Weight Weight is whether the data should be aggregated to the parent element. Specify 1 to aggregate the element to the parent.
    REPORTUN Specify the unique name of the dashboard or report.
    REPORTTYP Specify the type:
    • R for report.
    • D for dashboard.
    • DR for dashboard with report navigation
    ACTIVE Specify 1 to display the report in the navigation. All parents must also be set to 1.
  5. Exit Designer.
  6. Start EPM Administration.
  7. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Manage Permissions.
  8. Select the #_BPDNAV cube and review the permissions for users and roles for the items added to the navigation.
