Standard application roles
Standard application roles can be used as a starting point for granting access to users, depending on their role in the company. You can change the groups and users assigned to the roles.
You cannot change:
- Role definitions
- Global permissions
- Report and dashboard permissions
OLAP access cube permissions are not protected.
This table describes the roles:

Users performing administration tasks must be assigned this role. This role does not have access to planning numbers. |

Users that set up configuration sets, workbooks and decision packages. The role can enter budgets. |

The standard roles are protected in the repository. Access permissions in the navigation cube are not protected. We do not recommend changing the permissions in the navigation access cube for the standard applications roles.
