Intercompanies
In Infor EPM, intercompanies are internal organizational units within a parent company.
An intercompany structure is created by Business Modeling as a mirror of an entity structure to store intercompany transactions between legal entities within a company group. Smaller units can be grouped into larger units to represent an entire business.
Intercompanies can also be used to aggregate financial and non-financial data to show totals and how intercompanies influence each other.
In Infor EPM, a user interface to administer intercompanies is not provided. Intercompany is created as a mirror of the Entities business object but contains an additional EXTERNAL element to record whether a counterparty belongs to an external company. For example, the EXTERNAL element can be used to record intercompany trading or receivables.
If used, intercompany must be activated at the configuration set, version, and account levels.
