Dimensions

In Designer, you can use two different types of dimensions:

• System dimensions: These built-in dimensions are required to create a usable OLAP database. By default, the system dimensions are hidden in the tree structure of the Designer.
• Custom dimensions: Dimensions that are shown in folders in the tree structure of the Designer and dimensions that you created or modified in Designer to fulfill special requirements of your Budgeting & Planning business model.
  Note:  Custom dimensions can contain system elements. For example, the N.A. (unassigned elements) and TOTAL elements. These are built-in elements and cannot be deleted.
