Selecting entities

If the entity dimension has a hierarchical structure, the entities are collapsed and no paging is used by default. You can expand the hierarchy to view the child elements. You can also switch on paging.

The entity dimension must have only one top level element.

  1. Click the link next to Entity.
  2. Click the plus icon to expand the hierarchies.
  3. Optionally, select Settings > Show pagination to switch on paging.
    The paging setting is saved and used when you select entities anywhere in the application.
  4. To search for entities, enter the search phrase, and press Enter. Optionally, click the search icon and change the columns to use in your search.
    By default, the entity search is performed within the name. You can select ID to search for an entity ID. Your selection is saved and used when you select entities anywhere in the application.
  5. Select an entity or All entities.
    Depending on the type of settings, you can select a single entity or All entities from the entity dimension. For example, when you set the global context, you can select only a single entity. But, when you configure the Tasks page, you can select a single entity or All Entities.
  6. Click Save.
