Account / sub plan mapping
A sub plan looks at some aspect of a financial plan in greater detail. Several preconfigured sub plans are provided. You can add sub plans as needed. Each sub plan contains sub plan types. For example, the Sales sub plan includes Sales, Material Costs, Finished goods etc. Because the accounts which are relevant to a sales plan for a manufacturing organization, for example, are different from the accounts which are relevant in a services organization, you must specify which accounts relate to each sub plan and sub plan type. That is, for the Sales sub plan, for example, you must specify which accounts are 'sales accounts', which accounts relate to the costs of materials, and which to finished goods, etc. For the Workforce Budgeting sub plan, you must specify which accounts are relevant to that application.
