Configuring Designer

  1. Start Designer.
  2. Connect to the model.
  3. Expand the model.
  4. Expand Configuration.
  5. Click Planning Settings.
  6. Click the Common Settings tab.
  7. Select [Click here to import the dimensions of the Integration import].
  8. From the Source Connection list, select the connection to the depm_integration database. The import facility uses the connection to find all the available cube data tables that can be imported.
  9. Select one of these import types:
    Option Description
    Delete all elements before import Intended for an initial load of structure. This type of structure import clears all dimension content and loads the hierarchies, elements, and attributes from the integration database.
    Update existing elements and structure Intended for an incremental load of structure. This import behavior updates hierarchies, attributes and elements. Existing elements remain, and new elements from the integration database are imported into the dimension.
  10. Select the dimensions to import and click Import.
    Messages are displayed as the dimensions are imported. Any error stops the process and prevents subsequent selected cubes from being imported.
