Auditing
Infor EPM provides an audit trail
for a number of events. Those events are grouped into audit categories. Specific audit
requirements can vary, and it is often necessary to balance auditing and system performance.
For these reasons, you can configure your own auditing requirements. Membership of the Audit
Administrator repository role is required.
There are system events (farm configuration changes) and application events. In the Farm Settings dashboard, ensure that the audit storage has been configured correctly.
Audit entries include sensitive information such as user names.
The physical portions of the audit entries are Base64-encoded and are not human-readable, but a variety of Base64 decoding tools are available online.
Audit entries are not viewable in Infor EPM. They are stored as files in C:\ProgramData\Infor\BI\Audit.
Note: Audit files are not automatically removed. It is your responsibility
to remove files that are no longer necessary.
Protocols and mechanisms for viewing audit logs are implementation-specific.
The
widget in the Security Settings dashboard enables auditing of the events in these categories:- System
- Configuration
- Tenant
- Security
- Administration
- OLAP
- Business Applications
- Usage Auditing
