Importing a model to Staging

  1. Select Dashboards > Data Integrations > Relational Modeling.
  2. From the Target Connection list, select Staging.
  3. Click Import.
  4. Browse to the .rmexport file to import and click Open.
  5. Select the application into which to import the model and click Next.
  6. The import wizard includes steps to resolve conflicts with existing tables, load queries, scripts, and the OLAP model. At the steps for tables, load queries, and scripts, select one of these options:
    Option Description
    Overwrite Replaces the object
    Rename The object is imported with a new name
    Skip The object is excluded from the import
    To select all tables for import, click the three dot icon and select Select all.
  7. If the OLAP model of the application is not empty, select one of these options and click Import:
    Option Description
    Import new OLAP model objects and overwrite existing objects Adds any new objects to the existing model and overwrites existing objects
    Clear out the existing OLAP model and replace it with this model Entirely replaces the existing model with the new model
  8. Click Import.
    A log of the import is displayed.
  9. Click Finish.
    Note: If tables or views that the OLAP model requires are missing from the target Staging database, placeholder tables are created and highlighted by a warning icon. You can delete placeholder tables or click Define View or Table on the Schema tab of the table and select Define Table Schema, or Define View as appropriate.
