Method sets

For applications that are based on Designer, a translation method is assigned to an account in Designer. For applications that are based on Business Modeling, translation methods are assigned to an account through Business Modeling.

You can assign different translation methods to the same account. Method sets are used to group the translation method assignments.

For example, actual data can be translated using different, more precise methods than budget data because real translation exchange rates are available for actual data. Exchange rates can only be projected for budget or forecast data.

Default method sets are provided. By default, Method 1 is designated for actual translation rules. Method 2 is designated for budget translation rules. These defaults can be changed during currency configuration.
