Phasing of values

When you specify a value for a year, you can use the Phasing of values option to spread the value across the year. You can select or create an allocation method. Or, you can select another account and allocate the value in the same proportions as to that account.
Note: The phasing of values option is specific to Budgeting & Planning workbooks and reports.
  1. Specify a value to be allocated across the year.
  2. Right-click the value and select Phasing of values.
  3. Click either:
    Option Description
    By account If phasing is selected on a detailed tab, for example, the Intercompany, Schedules, or Segments tab, values from the selected account are taken from the TOTAL element in the intercompany, schedules, or segments dimension and spread into the target account only to the selected element. For example, in the IC dimension.
    By defined method Select a predefined allocation or click Add Phasing Method.
  4. Click OK to apply your selection.
