Applying the layout of the chart templates to existing reports

The layout of the In-Context BI chart templates is intended to make reports immune to design changes such as different requirements for margins. Use this information to apply the layout to existing reports.

  • Column A: In the Column Properties dialog box, select Custom and Formula. Select the global variableict_Margin_left.
  • Column B: This column is completely resizable.
  • Column C: In the Column Properties dialog box, select Custom and Formula. Select the global variableict_Margin_right.
  • Row 1: In the Row Properties dialog box, select Optimal and Formula. Select the global variableict_Margin_top.
  • Row 2: This row is completely resizable.
  • Row 3: This row is optional. It can hold a comment.
  • Row 4: In the Row Properties dialog box, select Optimal and Formula. Select the global variableict_Margin_bottom.
  • Cell B2: This cell contains the chart. The chart is configured to resize with the cell.

    In the Format Chart dialog box, click the Size and Position tab and select Depends on cell size and position.

In-Context BI uses Arial font for PC and Helvetica for Mac. The standard font size is 8pt, but other sizes can be used where appropriate. The font color is Graphite 5.
