Defining global formula function actions

  1. Right-click the root of the report catalog and select Actions .
  2. In the Name column of the Actions section, click Add action and specify a name for the action.
    The name must be unique and must not start with a number or include special characters. The name is displayed in the Insert Function dialog box when you select Action as the category of function to insert.
  3. Select Formula function in the Mode column.
  4. If the function has arguments for which users must supply values, specify the arguments in the Value column of the Inputs/Options section.
    Specify the arguments in a comma-separated list.
  5. In Value column of the Parameters section, specify the formula that the action triggers.
  6. Optionally create a local action variable to hold the result of the formula. Click Add parameter and select Actions > New Variable.
