Auditing

Infor EPM provides an audit trail for a number of events. Those events are grouped into audit categories. Specific audit requirements can vary, and it is often necessary to balance auditing and system performance. For these reasons, you can configure your own auditing requirements.

Auditing is disabled by default except for IGS cloud environments. If you are a member of the Audit Administrator repository role, you can configure which events are audited. Select Dashboards > Farm Administration > Security Settings.

You can view Infor EPM audit events in Infor OS Portal or Infor Ming.le. To view the Infor EPM audit events, perform these steps:

  1. In Infor OS Portal, click the Security tab and, in the menu, select Auditing and Monitoring > Audit Event Search.

In Infor Ming.le, select User Management > Auditing and Monitoring > Audit Event Search

  2. As a logical ID, specify lid://infor.bice.
Note: In Infor Ming.le, the Logical ID field is not displayed as the basic search option and you must add it. Click the plus icon.
  3. Optionally, specify other search criteria to filter for specific events. To add search filters, click the plus icon.
  4. Click Search.

See the topics under "Service-specific audit events" for the descriptions of the Infor EPM audit events.

For more information on Infor OS Portal and Infor Ming.le, refer to the Infor OS Portal and Infor Ming.le documentation.

Audit entries include sensitive information such as user names.

Protocols and mechanisms for viewing audit logs are implementation-specific.

The Audit Settings widget in the Security Settings dashboard has switches to enable auditing of the events in these categories:

  • Administration
  • Security
  • OLAP
  • Business Applications
  • Usage Auditing

The Administration, OLAP Data, Relational Data, Security, System Configuration, and Usage Auditing categories have the sub categories shown in this table:
