Modifying employee roster data

You can modify employee data, position assignments, or vacancies with the contextual toolbar icons.

  1. Click Home.
  2. Select Module Settings and Budgeting > Data Entry > Employee Roster.
  3. Select an employee with a position assignment. You can perform these actions:
    Edit an employee
    You can edit an employee’s details, assign employee to a new position assignment, and adjust or remove existing assignments.
    Edit an employee’s position assignment
    You can open an assignment’s detailed page to adjust an employee’s existing position assignment.
    Enable and disable the inheritance
    You can edit the inheritance setting for an employee. When the inheritance is enabled, each position assignment inherits its position action and this cannot be modified. You can modify or remove those actions when the inheritance is disabled.
    View or change FTE actions
    You can create a new FTE action or modify existing actions for the selected position assignment.
  4. Select a vacancy. You can perform these actions:
    Edit a position
    You can edit a position’s details.
    Enable and disable the inheritance
    You can edit the inheritance setting for an employee. When the inheritance is enabled, each position assignment inherits its job action and this cannot be modified. You can modify or remove those actions when the inheritance is disabled.
    View or change FTE actions
    You can create a new FTE action or modify existing actions for a position.
    Note: You must execute calculations and allocations before adding and modifying assignments, changing inheritance setting, or adjusting configurations that impact workforce costs, such as FTE and other actions. You must run calculations before these actions:
    • Adding and modifying assignments
    • Changing inheritance setting
    • Adjusting configurations that impact workforce costs, such as FTE
  5. Click Calculate and then Run Allocations, to update employee roster data.
