FAQ

QuestionAnswer
Must I use the Edit OLAP Formula dialog box? No, many formulas can be created either in the Edit OLAP Formula dialog box, or by specifying them manually in a cell. But some formulas such as ROC require you to specify all dimensions of the cube, in a specific order. To reduce errors, we recommend that you use the dialog box to create such formulas.

By selecting different options, you can use the Edit OLAP Formula dialog box to create several different types of formula. For example, if you select the Fixed mode option, an ROC formula is created. ROC is a non-dynamic equivalent of CELLGET. If you also select Allow writeback, an RWC formula is created. RWC is the writable version of ROC.
