Managing data role permissions

If a dimension has a valid dimension access control (DAC) table referenced from the DEPM_MOD_DIMENSION object definition table, then you can manage permissions for its elements.
Note: Currently, you cannot manage permissions in the subset view.
  1. Select Dashboards > Data Integrations > OLAP Modeling.
  2. Select the hierarchy for which to manage permissions.
  3. Select the check box of the element for which to set permissions and click Permissions.
All data roles from the DEPM_MOD_DATAROLE object definition table are listed.
Note: The Permissions button is not available unless the dimension has a DAC assigned to it.
  4. Select the check boxes of the data roles to which to apply permissions.
You can use the search and filter options to restrict the list of roles that are displayed.
  5. Click the icon in the Permissions column and select the required permission for the selected data roles.
If you select a consolidated elements and select one of the Pass permissions options, then changes are applied to the elements and to all their children.
The permission values are written back to the data table that is referenced as the DAC table. The DAC cube is cleared before the values are published from that data table
