Exporting a cube to a file

You can export the cell values or cell notes of a cube to a .csv file. That file can be imported to a different environment to, for example, assist with preparation of demo data.

Note: By default, the maximum size of file that can be uploaded to the Infor cloud is 128 MB. On-premises, the default upload limit is 128 MB but can be increased to a maximum of 4 GB. As a guide, a values export of the Analysis cube of the Samples application, generates a file of approximately 350 MB.
  1. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Edit Database.
  2. In the Database Structure widget, select the database from which to export.
  3. Click the Cubes node in the Database Structure widget to display a tile for each cube in the database.
  4. Click the Export Cube (File) icon on the tile of the cube to export.
  5. Specify this information:
    Delimiter
    Select how to separate values in the export file.
    Custom Delimiter
    If you select Custom in the Delimiter field, specify the delimiter.
    Include Column Headers
    Select the check box to include column headers in the export file.
    Decimal Separator
    Select Dot or Comma as the separator for decimal values.
    Export
    Select whether to export cell values or cell notes.
  6. Click Export.
