Editing dimension properties

The Properties tab of a dimension shows properties grouped under these headings:

• General

  You can edit the caption, description, and default hierarchy of a dimension.

• Statistics
• Security

  You can enable dimension access control.

• Advanced
  In the Advanced section, you can manually edit general and security properties, including the default element of the dimension. To specify the default element, add or edit the DefaultMember attribute. Use this syntax:

  <Alea:DefaultMember Name="element_name" />

  A default element is optional. If it is not specified, the first top level element of the dimension is used. Specification of dynamic attributes also requires manual editing of the dimension properties.
