Creating cubes

  1. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Edit Database.
  2. In the Database Structure widget, select the database to which to add a cube.
  3. Select Cubes and click New Cube in the Cubes of [database_name] widget.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the name of the new cube.
    Caption
    The specified cube name is used as the caption. Optionally, specify a different caption.
    Description
    Optionally, specify a description of the cube.
  5. Click Next
  6. In the Available Dimensions column, search for and select dimensions to add to the cube, and click the arrow icon. Use Shift and Ctrl to select multiple dimensions. If you select commercial dimensions, any protection that has been applied to them remains.
    Caution: 
    String elements in all but the last dimension are handled as numeric elements.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Optionally, specify the measure dimension and the format dimension.
  9. Optionally, specify the format dimension.
  10. Optionally, enable cube access control.
    If cube access control is enabled, the permissions that are defined in the #_TABACC cube have effect.
  11. Click Finish.
  12. To specify a cache partition dimension for the cube, edit the cube's properties.
