Migrating Application Studio reports

To migrate reports from Infor BI 11.0 to Infor EPM 12.0.x, use the export and import methods in Application Studio.

Note: Introduced in Application Studio version 11.0.0.392 (Infor EPM version 11.2.0.3), there are two tools to help you to migrate your content:
  • Compliance checker checks the compatibility of your version 11 content with version 12.
  • Dependency analyzer helps you find report dependencies.
  1. Use Application Studio 11.0 to export reports.
    You can export to *.reports or to *.app_reports files.
  2. In Application Studio 12.0.x, connect to the target application.
  3. Import the *.reports or *.app_reports file.

Keep these points in mind:

  • Database aliases are migrated to data connections during import.

    See "Data connections" in the "EPM Administration" section.

  • If the *.reports file contains native OLAP database aliases, or scripting, the import fails.
  • Client lists are removed during the import.
  • For variables, only the default value and the value of the user who performs the export are included in the export file.
