Administration Service

The Administration Service is an application service that provides functionality for administering repository content, user management, OLAP database administration, application management, and other tasks related to a farm.

The Administration Service scales with:

  • The number of users.
  • The frequency of tasks that require a lot of resources. User and roles management may require a lot of resources as the service scales with the number of users.

The number of instances is low.
