Aligning schedule data with finance and segment data

Schedule data, which represents a detailed breakdown of an account, is represented in finance data and segments.

Schedule data that is imported from a source system or transferred through the Carry Forward Schedules function may not match the corresponding finance and segment data. To prevent such data inconsistency, you can use the Alignment of Schedules with Finance and Segments function.

Note: Data entry reports are configured to simultaneously write back to the Schedule Details data, and Finance and Segment data. Therefore, the Alignment of Schedules with Finance and Segments function is not usually used.
  1. Select Data Transfer and Processes > Entity Data Transfer > Trial Balance > Alignment of Schedules with Finance and Segments.
  2. Select the configuration set, version, period, entity, entity booking level, schedule, and account from which to copy and align data.
You can select multiple periods, entities, entity booking levels, schedules, and accounts. Only base entity levels can be selected. If a schedule has multiple closing balances, you can select only the top schedule.
Note: You can select multiple accounts only if you select one schedule. If you select multiple schedules, you cannot select an account. In this case, all accounts that are related to the selected schedules are copied.
  3. Click Align Data.
  4. Click Proceed.
The schedule data is aligned with the finance and segment data. The TDETAIC cube is aligned with the TFINANC cube and the TSEGMOVC cube is aligned with the TSEGMC cube.
