Connections

In the Connections view you administer the connections to other databases. You can use these connections, for example, for the import of structures.

To create a connection, click New. Specify the name of the database connection in the dialog Register Database. If you require the character code translation from OEM to ANSI for the new database connection, select the OEM to ANSI check box. Click the Wizard button to configure a connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database. Since many functions in the Designer use this ID, you must assign a data source ID to the database connection in the system table Data Sources.

To edit a database connection, select it and click Edit.

To delete a database connection, select it and click Delete.
