Custom data integration

In contrast to the Integration database, in Staging, you can create custom tables to stage data before loading it to a custom OLAP database, or into custom cubes and dimensions which extend the Infor EPM business applications.

To load data from staging tables to OLAP cubes and dimensions, create cube and hierarchy mappings in the Edit Database dashboard.

The schema of the Integration database is fixed and cannot be changed from within relational modeling. But you can use Business Modeling to add custom properties to business objects. In this case, the integration tables are automatically extended with additional columns for loading values for custom properties.

You can write and run SELECT statements as load queries against a source. The result sets of the queries are loaded into the tables in which the queries are created. This technique applies in Integration tables, which are the standard tables for Infor EPM, and in custom tables in the Staging database. You can write queries to transfer data from a source system to the Staging database. You can also write queries to transfer data from one table to another.
