Users and roles

User and role management is done in EPM Administration.

Infor EPM uses the #_SysUsr dimension for users and the #__GRP__ dimension for roles. It is essential to have the #_SYSUSR dimension populated properly for the Infor EPM business applications to work.

In both Designer and BM-based when you publish the model (from either Designer (re-create database) or from BM) the #_SYSUSR dimension gets updated with the list of currently known users (in Repository).

To grant users access, you must:

Add users through the Users and User Groups dashboard.
When using IFS authentication, you can register single IFS users or IFS roles which are presented as user groups.
Recreate the OLAP database.
Assign application roles to the users.

After adding or editing users and roles, you must synchronize the changes by using Designer to recreate the OLAP database. This writes the users to the #_SysUsr dimension.
