Creating a custom report

When you build custom reports that will be used as widgets on dashboards, you must make sure the custom widgets communicate well with standard widgets. This is achieved by using report parameters for widget communication.

  1. Start Application Studio.
  2. Go to Reports > Infor EPM > Global Modules > General Functions > Workbook Tab Template > Workbook Tab Template Global.
  3. Right-click the report and select Copy.
  4. Right-click the folder where you want to copy the report and select Paste.
  5. Right-click the report and select Rename. Optionally, change the unique name.
    Unique name prefix Workbook type
    ww_custom_ For all workbooks
    wb_ww_ Workforce Budgeting
    cp_ww_ Capital Planning
    dp_ww_ Decision Package and Decision Package Top Down
    bap_ww_ Finance
  6. Open the report in Design Mode.
  7. Customize the report as desired.
  8. Right-click the report and select Report Actions.
  9. Specify the parameters to use. The important parameters are part of the template are therefore already prepared. Optionally, you can set additional parameters on report load. For example, setting a certain variable which is special to your report.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Right-click the report and select Check-in/out > Check-in.
  12. Exit Application Studio.
