Adding a custom report

You can add custom reports to the business applications' navigation. In Application Studio, the reports must be checked in. Users must have a minimum of View permission on the custom applications in which the reports exist.
  1. In Business Modeling, select Custom Extensions > Reports.
  2. Click Add Report.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the name of the report to display in the navigation structure.
    The maximum length of a report name is 20 characters.
    Optionally, click the Translate icon and specify a translation in one or more languages.
    Description
    Optionally, specify a description of the report.
    Optionally, click the Translate icon and specify a translation in one or more languages.
    Section
    Select the section of the navigation in which to add the report.
    You can change the position of the report within the section after you have added the report.
    Application Unique Name
    Select the custom application in which the report exists.
    If you select the wrong application, this message is displayed when a user tries to access the report:
    The linked widget could not be found. Ensure that it exists and you have permission to view it.
    Report Unique Name
    Specify the unique name of the report. This is available in the Properties pane of the report in Application Studio.
    If you specify an invalid unique name , this message is displayed when a user attempts to access the report:
    The linked widget could not be found. Ensure that it exists and you have permission to view it.
  4. Click Save.
    The properties of the report are displayed.
  5. Optionally, edit the properties of the report and click Save.
    Note: By default, reports that you add are not shown in the business applications' navigation structure. To display a report, turn on the Show in navigation option and click Save.
