Starting and ending configuration sets

To make planning steps available to users, the configuration set in which they are defined must be started, and the appropriate version must be flagged as completed.

A started configuration set can be edited, but with restrictions. For example, you can add planning steps but not remove them. And you can assign entities and currencies to a configuration set but not remove them.

Caution: 
You cannot revert starting a configuration set, you can only end it.
  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. Select Business Configuration > Configuration Set-specific Settings > Configuration Set Definition.
  3. Click the configuration set to start and select Show Details.
  4. Select Started.
    A configuration set starts automatically if one or more versions that are linked to it are flagged as complete.

    To end a configuration set, select Ended.
