Carrying over data between decision packages

You can carry over data from one or more decision packages to another, within the same configuration set or between different configuration sets. For example, you might carry over financial data from the previous year to the current year.

  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. Click Business Configuration > Configuration Set-specific Settings > Decision Package Transfer.
  3. Optionally, to list existing transfers within a specified context, select Source or Target and specify the context.
  4. Click New Transfer and specify a name for the transfer and a description.
  5. Click the Transfer Configuration tab and specify this information to set the context of the transfer:
    Configuration set
Select the source and target configuration sets.
    Version
Select the source and target versions.
    Entity
Select the source and target entities.
    Financial Planning Step
Select the source and target financial planning steps.
    Workbook
Specify the source workbook. The workbook is the decision package template from which the source decision package was created.
    Decision Packages
Select the decision packages from which to carry over the data.
  6. Click Confirm.

A copy of the original decision package is created. The new decision package is named after the source decision package with _copy appended to the name. The status of the new decision package is unsubmitted.

The data in each decision package is transferred to the new decision package as a one to one copy.

The current status of the source data is not carried over to the target.
