Configuring an allocation loop

You can enable the loop functionality when you edit the allocation configuration. Looping can be enabled for the reference dimension source or the data area source.
  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. Select Applications > Financial Applications > Allocation > Configuration > Configuration.
  3. Select the allocation level to edit.
To access the allocation loop example from the demo data, select Allocation Level 0002.
  4. Click the Parameterization Overview icon next to the step that you want to edit.
  5. Click the Edit icon.
The Parameterization of Allocation window opens.
  6. To enable looping for the source reference dimension, click the currently selected element and select Enable Looping. Select the element and the level to be used for the allocation loop.
If you enable looping for the source reference dimension, both the looping and your element selection are applied to the driver and target reference dimensions.
  7. To enable looping in the source data area, click the currently selected element and select Enable Looping. Select the element and the level to be used for the allocation loop.
You can enable looping for only one segment in your source data area. If one segment uses looping, you must first disable looping for that segment. Afterwards, you can enable looping for another segment of the source data area.

If you enable looping for the source data area, the looping and your element selection are used for the driver and target data areas.
