General tab of list objects
This topic describes the options of the General tab of list objects other than hyperblocks.
To format a list object right-click the object in Design mode and select .
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Displays the default name of the object. To change the name, overwrite the default name. |
| List | Select the list to link to the object. |
| Copy to local | This button is enabled if the list
object is linked to a global list. Click to convert the list to a local list. |
| Text format of the list | Select how element names are displayed. For example, caption, unique Name, or attribute. |
| Perform action when selection changes | Select this check box and click the adjacent button to open the Edit Action dialog. |
| Variables | Use input and output variables to pass
values from one list object to another. Select the or
check box and select the variable from the
list. Or, drag a variable from the Accessories pane and drop it on the list object. When prompted, click to use the variable as the input and output variable. |
