Users and roles

If your Infor EPM platform is running in Infor Ming.le, you can use IFS users and roles.

These IFS roles are automatically there as soon as you add EPM Administration to Infor Ming.le and matched to standard Infor EPM basic groups:

IFS roles Basic groups
Infor System Administrators Administrators
BI Administrators Administrators
BI Power Users Power Users
BI Viewers Viewers

A user with the BI Administrators IFS role can administer all applications.

To assign a user administrator rights to individual applications, assign the user to one of these application roles in the applications they are to administer:

  • MasterRole: Enables viewing and editing of all content and administration of permissions and databases. This role is assigned all OLAP permissions.
  • AdministratorRole: Enables administration of permissions.
  • ViewRole: Assign the ViewRole on the EPM Administration application.
Note: Keep to a minimum the number of IFS roles that are assigned to an IFS user. The more roles that an IFS user has, the greater the amount of data to be communicated and cached when the user signs in.
Note: In IFS User Management, ensure that Infor EPM users' email addresses are specified. Otherwise, the users cannot access Infor EPM.
