Service-specific properties

To access service-specific properties , select Dashboards > Farm Administration > Services. In the Services widget, click the Settings icon of the service to administer.

This table shows the properties that are specific to each service.

Application Engine Service Data Connection Recovery Interval The amount of time that the service waits between attempts to recover from a connection failure.
Data Connection Recovery Attempts The number of attempts that the service performs to recover from a connection failure.
Minimum and maximum data connection pool size The minimum and maximum number of active connections in the connection pool.
Pooled Data Connection Lifetime The length of time for which the pooled data connection exists.
Sandbox maximum and minimum pool size The maximum and minimum number of process execution sandboxes in the pool.
Sandbox Sliding Expiration Time The time after which sandboxes expire.
Sandbox Lifetime The time after which sandboxes are recycled.
Sandbox Watcher Interval The time interval after which it is checked whether the pool must be refilled or sandboxes removed from the pool.
Debug mode Select to enable debugging of processes.
Application Studio Service Data Connection Recovery Attempts The number of attempts that the service performs to recover from a database alias connection failure.
Data Connection Recovery Interval The amount of time that the service waits between attempts to recover from a database alias connection failure.
Minimum and maximum data connection pool size The maximum and minimum number of active database connections in the connection pool.
Pooled Data Connection Lifetime The length of time for which the pooled data connection exists.
Resource Handles The percentage weight of the total available resource handles in use by the service worker.
Configuration Service Database Recovery Attempts The number of attempts that the service performs to recover from a database connection failure.
Database Recovery Interval The amount of time that the service waits between attempts to recover from a database connection failure.
Minimum and maximum data connection pool size The minimum and maximum number of active database connections in the connection pool.
Pooled Data Connection Lifetime The length of time for which the pooled data connection exists.
Synchronization Recovery Attempts The number of attempts that the service performs to recover from delivery failure.

Session Cookie Name The name of the cookie that is used in the communication between a browser and Dashboards.

Log Entry Lifetime The time after which the log entries are deleted by the Log Service. This setting is available for the Log Service.
Log Entry Purge Interval The time after which log entries are cleared.
Query Timeout The maximum length of time queries in the View Application Logs and View System Logs dashboards can run.
Caution: 
The maximum is 2 hours. Therefore, do not develop queries that take longer than 2 hours to run.

Pooled Data Connection Lifetime The maximum length of time after which a data connection in a data connecton pool is closed.
Query Timeout The length of time after which relational load queries, scripts, and hierarchy and cube mappings are canceled.
Caution: 
The maximum is 2 hours. Therefore, do not develop load queries, scripts, or mappings that take longer than 2 hours to run.

OLAP Service System worker concurrency Maximum number of operations a system worker can process in parallel.
Cluster node concurrency The length of time for which the pooled data connection exists. Maximum number of operations a cluster node can process in parallel.
Database startup attempts Maximum number of retries the OLAP system worker performs to start the OLAP
Database startup interval The interval between two attempts to start the OLAP database.
Database startup time-out The maximum amount of time the system waits for database to start up.
Database shutdown attempts Maximum number of retries the OLAP system worker performs to shut down the OLAP database.
Database shutdown interval The interval between two attempts to stop a running OLAPdatabase.
Database shutdown time-out The maximum amount of time the system waits for database to shut down.
Scheduler trigger interval The interval scheduler checks the database schedules and plan their execution.
Database idle time A database that is idle for a specified time is stopped automatically. This is indicated by a status of Standby in the Databases dashboard.

The default idle time is 2 weeks.

High load threshold Maximum value of load factor at which a cluster node is marked as overloaded and cannot accept additional requests.
Database count weight The percentage weight of number of running databases on a cluster node.
Memory weight The percentage weight of average system memory consumed by a cluster node.
Local database storage path The path to the local database storage.
Central database storage path The path to the central database storage.
Central backup storage path The path to the backup database storage.
Repository Service Database Recovery Attempts The number of attempts that the service performs to recover from a database connection failure.
Database Recovery Interval The amount of time that the service waits between attempts to recover from a database connection failure.
Synchronization Recovery Attempts The number of attempts that the service performs to recover from delivery failure.

Client Idle Time The period of inactivity after which a repository is unloaded from the hosted service instance.
Server Idle Time The inactivity time period after which a repository database connection is closed in Repository Worker.
Transaction Time-out The maximum time for which a repository database transaction is left open.
API Transaction Time-out The maximum time for which an API transaction is left open.
