Updating commercial applications

In the Manage Applications widget, an information icon indicates that an update for a commercial application is available. Click the Updates tab of the Details widget to see the available updates.

An application's Install button is disabled if one or more other updates must be installed first. The button is enabled when the required updates have been installed.

If an update fails and the application is marked as corrupted, you can re-apply the current version of the application.

Note: We recommend that you update your applications only after hours when the users are offline. Otherwise, the users can experience processing issues.

Updating an application automatically takes the application offline.

  1. Select Dashboards > Applications Administration > Applications.
  2. Select the application to update.
  3. Click the Updates tab in the Details widget.
  4. Click the Install button of the update to install.
  5. If conflicts with existing objects are detected, they are displayed with the preselected Overwrite option. Click Update.
  6. Review the update results in the log. Optionally, save the log file.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Click Put Online.
