Creating base elements

In some cases, placeholder elements are used. Such placeholder elements are not part of the standard OLAP schema, but elements created on the fly when they are needed.

There are processes that check for the last created element and then the process creates another element if there is no existing element.

This table describes the elements that are created for business objects:

All elements created on the fly are base elements. The WBD_BENEFITCOST dimension, the WBD_BASEDON_BENEFITCOST dimension and the WB_BENEFITCOST hierarchy in BPDDETAIL must always contain the same set of elements.

The integration processes do not use elements created on the fly for these business objects:

  • Phasing methods
  • Scenario
  • Financial planning steps
