Transferring Workforce Budgeting data

This section describes how to transfer Workforce Budgeting data.

When you assign accounts to sub plans, you specify which accounts in your chart of accounts are relevant to Workforce Budgeting. When the Workforce Budgeting process is complete, you transfer the data from those accounts to Budgeting & Planning. Any values that are on these accounts in Budgeting & Planning are overwritten by the data transfer.

We recommend that you ensure that all changes that were done during the Workforce Budgeting process are reflected in your data. Start recalculations and update data by performing allocations through the Allocation report before data transfer into the main budget. Even if the allocation feature is disabled, proceed with data update. As a best practice, review the Financial Summary report before transferring data from the Workforce Budgeting sub plan to the Financial plan. Select Home > Module Settings and Budgeting > Reporting > Financial Summary Report.

  1. Click the Home icon.
  2. Select Module Settings and Budgeting > Data Transfer > Data Transfer.
  3. Click the Sub Plan tab.
  4. In the Transfer Workforce Budgeting Data section, specify this information:
    Source Version
    Select the version that contains the data to transfer.
    Target Version
    Select the version to which to transfer the data. Only completed budget or forecast versions of the configuration set are available.
    Entity
    The available entities depend on the selected target version.
    Organization
    Select the organization to which to transfer the data.
  5. Click Initiate.
The Result field is a check field. The field turns red if the total value of the accounts that were imported does not match the value that was transferred.
